PETALING JAYA: A highway user reported taking an hour and a half to travel from the Duta toll plaza to the Sungai Buloh rest area on Friday night, Sept 25.
In a Threads post cited by Kosmo!, the user, who goes by the handle _Akhmxxl_, said the journey began at the Duta toll plaza at 7.30pm and reached the rest area only at 9pm.
"Duta Toll at 7.30pm, reached the Sungai Buloh R&R at 9pm," the user wrote in the post.
The motorist then decided to stop and rest while waiting for traffic to ease.
The user attributed the delay to a fallen tree, and said congestion continued even after passing that spot. That explanation was the motorist's own observation.
In a separate report, Kosmo! cited Bukit Aman's Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department as saying a fallen tree at Kilometre 22.9 of the southbound NKVE had blocked all lanes. The resulting queue at that location was estimated at five kilometres.
That southbound incident cannot, by itself, be taken as the cause of the full delay experienced by the motorist, who was travelling northbound.
The 90-minute journey reflects one user's experience that night, rather than travel times for all vehicles or traffic conditions on the morning of Sept 26.
